WORKSHOP: Photovoice Part 1 - Gather
Photovoice is a qualitative method of community-based participatory research. It combines photography with social action in order to raise awareness of community issues, map community strengths, and solve problems together. The method was first invented in China and used in the Yunnan Province to influence policies that affected women in rural areas. Participants in the Photovoice workshop will learn how to run a Photovoice session and contribute to the Schwarzman Women’s Conference Photovoice Project which will be on display during the conference in the Forum.
