Join the German Chamber of Commerce in China | Shanghai for an Excursion to the Pinghu Economic-Technological Development Zone (Pinghu EDZ) and Factory Visits to Viessmann Heating Technology, Wacker Neuson Machinery, Great Wall Motors and Pinghu Innovation Park - all located within the Pinghu EDZ!
After arriving at the Jiashan South Railway Station, this full-day excursion is kicking off with a factory tour at Viessmann Heating Technology, where the excursion guests will get a brief introduction of the enterprise and a tour through the facilities.

Viessmann Pinghu covers about 26 Mu and produces condensing, common, heating, and hot water dual-use and heating wall-hung boilers with an annual output value of 300 million RMB.
Next, the excursion guests will transfer to the Wacker Neuson Machinery via shuttle bus, and take a tour through the facilities.

After having lunch at the Green Sun Hotel, the excursion group will transfer to the factory of Pinghu Great Wall Motors, located within the Pinghu EDZ.

Then, the excursion guests will transfer to the Pinghu Innovation Park via shuttle bus, where the Pinghu EDZ leadership and Mr. Marcus Wassmuth, Head of Market Entry and Business Development at the German Industry & Commerce | Shanghai, will deliver an Introduction to the Development Zone and a Welcome Speech, respectively. Further, the Pinghu EDZ leadership will be available for a Q&A session.
Subsequently, [INSERT COMPANY LEADER'S NAMES & POSITIONS] will be joining a Panel Discussion on the Current Situation of Companies in Pinghu, discussing their company's current challenges and opportunities, their business outlook for the upcoming year, current hot topics and their business environment within the Pinghu EDZ. The panel discussion will be moderated by Mr. Marcus Wassmuth, Head of Market Entry and Business Development at the German Industry & Commerce | Shanghai.

About Pinghu Innovation Park
Pinghu Innovation Park (Phase I) is a government-owned park, which covers 125.2 Mu, with a total building area of 150,000 s.q.m. Phase I includes one 17-story building and 17 3-4-story independent workshops, integrating entrepreneurial R&D, incubation and acceleration, intelligent manufacturing, and commercial support functions. It prioritizes the development of the digital economy with electronic information, 5G and artificial intelligence as its core, and the intelligent manufacturing industry.
After the Panel Discussion, for those, who would like return home, transportation will be arranged to Jiashan South Railway Station. For those, who would like to stay, the excursion group will have dinner at the Pinghu Pullman Hotel, with subsequent transportation to the Jiashan South Railway Station.
About Pinghu Economic-Technological Development Zone (Pinghu EDZ)
Pinghu Economic-Technological Development Zone was established in 1996 and upgraded to the national level in 2013. Pinghu EDZ is located at the diagonal center of Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou, and Ningbo, with a planned area of 65km2. There are more than 300 foreign enterprises, including 26 Fortune Global 500 enterprises.
Over the years, Pinghu EDZ has deepened international industrial cooperation and has successfully established European (German) Industry Park, Zhejiang Sino-Japan (Pinghu) Cooperation Industry Park, Pinghu Industry Park for Advanced Equipment Manufacturing & Innovation, and Bio-Tech & Food Industry Park. Pinghu EDZ focuses on developing an advanced equipment manufacturing industry based on auto parts and intelligent manufacturing equipment and a digital economy with automotive electronics, 5G communication, and industrial automation as the main directions. Over 30 German enterprises have settled in Pinghu EDZ, such as ThyssenKrupp Auto Stabilizer, DMG MORI CNC Machine, Viessmann, DB Schenker Global Logistics, Trützschler Textile Machinery, Wacker Neuson Compact Excavator, Hirschvogel Forging Parts, Arburg Injection Machine and etc.
The Pinghu EDZ kindly covers all costs for shuttle bus transportation in Pinghu and meals. However, please note, that the transportation to Pinghu will be individually covered.
If arriving via train, please be aware that train tickets sell both online and offline from 15 days before departure and up until 30 minutes before departure.
Please kindly book your train tickets in advance.
Please kindly carry your passport / Chinese ID card, health code and travel health code on your smartphone with you.
Visitors arriving from low-risk areas: Only health code and travel health code are required. No nucleic acid test required.
Visitors, who have been in medium- or high-risk areas within the past 14 days or areas with recent pandemic outbreaks, please kindly contact hossain.navin@china.ahk.de to consult whether it is possible for you to attend this event.
Please also kindly note that all guests are required to fill a Declaration of Health Status form. The form will be send to you via e-mail after registration, but can also be filled out on site.
Prior to the event, the German Chamber will invite the excursion participants to a WeChat group to coordinate arrival. If interested to join the group chat, you may state your WeChat ID during registration.

For those arriving from Shanghai via train, the excursion group will meet with Mr. Navin Hossain from the German Chamber at 8:15AM at the departing platform of Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. Train D2281 leaves from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station (上海虹桥) at 8:48AM and arrives at Jiashan South Railway Station (嘉善南) at 9:13AM. The exact departing platform of train D2281 is not published until 25 November by the Chinese Railway System. Please indicate accordingly during registration: "I will arrive from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station via train D2281 at Jiashan South Railway Station at 9:13AM"
For those arriving from another city via train, please kindly arrive at Jiashan South Railway Station before 9:13AM. For reference, train D2281 leaves from Suzhou Main Station (苏州) at 8:03AM and arrives at Jiashan South Railway Station (嘉善南) at 9:13AM. Train D2281 leaves from Nanjing South Railway Station (南京南) at 6:33AM and arrives at Jiashan South Railway Station (嘉善南) at 9:13AM. Please indicate accordingly during registration: "I will arrive via another train at Jiashan South Railway Station by 9:13AM"
For those arriving via own car, please kindly arrive at Zhejiang Viessmann Heating Technology Co., Ltd. by 10:00AM.

Departure on Thursday, 25 November 2021:
For those leaving after the panel discussion at 5:20PM, shuttle bus transfer will be arranged to Jiashan South Station.
For reference, Train G7590 leaves at 6:22PM and arrives at Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station (上海虹桥) at 6:45PM (for transfer to Suzhou, you may transfer to Train G7310, which leaves at 7:03PM and arrives at Suzhou Main Station (苏州) at 7:36PM). Train G7590 leaves at 6:22PM and arrives at Nanjing South Station (南京南) at 8:41PM.
For those staying for dinner, the excursion group will enjoy dinner at the Pinghu Pullman Hotel. After dinner, at 7:00PM shuttle bus transfer will be arranged to Jiashan South Railway Station.

Mr. Navin Hossain from the German Chamber will accompany the guests via train from Shanghai to Jiashan. The exact departing platform of train D2281 is not available until 25 November. Prior to the excursion, the German Chamber will invite all ecursion participants to a WeChat group to coordinate. Please indicate accordingly during registration.
