Product integrity and technical compliance in time of digitalization in the Chinese automotive industry

The automotive industry is in the most serious transition towards digitalization. First robot-cars are driving on the streets in Beijing (since end of November 2021). Many new regulations have been created by the Chinese authorities in regards of cyber security, ICV, personal data protection and autonomous driving. Do you know about them?

It is important to create new regulations for new technologies to assure safe cars, but regulations should be harmonized on a global base. Prof. Tillmann will introduce new VDA Standards and challenges on implementation on product integrity in China.

Legal Update: Product liability and data protection in the automotive industry

Dr. Florian Kessler will present the latest legal developments in the automotive industry. The legal update includes the following topics:

• New “Sanbao” system which is effective from January 2022 onwards. The Sanbao system regulates the defect scenarios which warrant vehicle repair, replacement, and refund.
