2. The price is a couple's fee. A couple is registered only once.
3. Dance partners can be of either gender as long as there are only 2 dancers.
4. Please enter the same name for the leader and follower in the 'names' column, respectively, as you did to register for the STB event.
5. Please enter the name of the couple in the corresponding blank of the table, in the format of "AA&BB" (such as "Zeng & Beibei")
6. Format: original choreographed swing dance routine within 2 minutes of swing jazz music.
7. Prelims:Please send the video to CLHC@swingtimeball.com before 24:00 on October 9, 2023. The name of the video should be “Newcomer – Couple name”. Self-recording without any editing is required. It must have a fixed camera position for fixed focus shooting and cannot zoom or manipulate the lens. The prelims will be assessed online by international teachers, and the finalists of 20 couples will be announced on October 16th.
8. Finals: Live performance at Gehua Building, adjustment permitted. Please submit the final audio file of the performance track to CLHC@swingtimeball.com before 24:00 on October 26, 2023. The name of the final audio file should be "Newcomer - Couple Name".
Lindy Hop Team Showcase
1. A team of at least six people is formed, and there is no limit to the number of members of the team.
2. Team showcase is registered by the team leader and the price is the total cost of a team. Each team only needs to register once.
3. Please enter the team leader ‘s name in the 'Name' column, the same as the team leader's name when registering for an STB event.
4. Please enter the team’s name (such as "Big Foot") in the corresponding blank of the form. If the team’s name is not in English, please put an English translation followed (such as "黑旋风 / Black Hurricane").
5. The performance would be a Lindy Hop original choreographed to swing jazz music, with no time limit.
6. No prelims, straight through to the final.
7. Please submit the audio file of the performance track to CLHC@swingtimeball.com before 24:00 on October 26, 2023. The name of the audio file should be " Team – Team Name".
Solo Jazz & Charleston
1. Individual registration, with no experience limit. All the dancers will compete on one level. Don’t miss it!
2. Please enter the same name in the 'Name' column as you did to register for the STB event.
3. Prelims: 3 all-skate heats to DJ music of different random tempos, with the top 7 advancing to the final.
4. Finals: Jam format to live band with AABA structured music at a tempo to be determined on the spot. Each finalist dances in 3 rounds.
Lindy Hop Strictly
1. Couple registration, with no experience limit. The price is a couple's fee. A couple is registered only once.
2. Please enter the same name for the leader and follower in the 'names' column, respectively, as you did to register for the STB event.
3. Prelims: 3 all-skate heats to DJ music of different random tempos, with the top 16 couples advancing to the semi-finals.
4. Semi-finals: 16 couples will be drawn on-site for a one-on-one competition, with 8 couples advancing to the finals.
5. Finals: Spotlights to live band with 12-bar blues-structured music at a tempo to be determined on the spot. Each couple dances 2 spotlights.
6. Championship Award: The winner will receive 10,000 RMB and will get qualification to Savoy Cup 2024 Champion Cup.
Open Mix & Match
1. Mix & Match is divided into two divisions: open and advanced. The prelims of both divisions will be held at the same time, and competitors will only be able to choose one division to compete in.
2. Individual registration, with no experience limit, and a self-assessment of the dancer's level is required.
3. Please enter the same name in the 'Name' column as you did to register for the STB event.
4. Prelims: 3 all-skate heats to DJ music of different tempos
