Nicholas Gordon is a Hong Kong-based associate editor, where he assists with audience development and commentary coverage for the Asia-Pacific region. Before joining Fortune, he worked as a content manager for a Hong Kong-based think tank working on regional economic development issues. He has a masters in international relations from Oxford University and a bachelors in social studies from Harvard College.

As a founding member of the company, Dr.Haojun Wang has served as the technical leader of the Map and Localization module for autonomous driving, the Head of the US Site, and the Head of the Shanghai R&D center, bringing the latest breakthroughs in artificial intelligence to Pony.ai's autonomous driving platform.Dr.Wang previously worked at IBM Silicon Valley Lab and Baidu's US R&D center, where he focused on database engine and big data information system development, and was an early member to lead the development of Baidu's self-driving Map and Localization system.He holds a B.S.from Shanghai Jiaotong University and a Ph.D.in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, specializing in multidimensional data and mobile location services research.

Weibao received his Ph.D.degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in 2016 and a B.S.from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in 2011. Weibao Wang was the chief technology officer at Neolix, responsible for Neolix’s autonomous technologies.Prior to joining Neolix, Alan served as the vice president of engineering of Singularity.AI, where he oversaw all the algorithm and software engineering effort.Weibao start his career at Apple Inc., where, he worked on autonomous technologies.

Qingxiong YANG is Vice President of WeRide, a global leading autonomous driving company.He is also Dean of WeRide Research Institute.WeRide is the first self-driving company to obtain strategic investment from top-tier global automakers, which include Alliance Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi and Yutong Group, as well as the first startup in the world holding driverless test permits in both China and the US.Dr.Yang is responsible for WeRide’s autonomous driving products innovation, while overseeing the company’s research institute.Dr.Yang is a well-respected expert in the autonomous driving industry and a renowned scholar in computer vision.He had served as Senior Director of Autonomous Driving in DiDi Chuxing and Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the City University of Hong Kong.In July 2019, he received the Industrial Distinguished Leader Award by the Asia Pacific Signal and Information Processing Association (APSIPA) for his significant contributions to the field of autonomous driving.Dr.Yang has published and presented over 30 academic papers at top-tier computer vision conferences and in major journals (CVPR/ICCV/ECCV/IJCV/PAMI).Dr.Yang received his Ph.D.in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 2010.
