Date: Monday, July 8, 2024
Time: 10:30-12:30

Today's automotive industry is undergoing a significant transformation. Electric vehicles are replacing combustion engines, new digital offerings and solutions are increasing overall technical complexity and circularity creates possibilities to increasingly reduce the overall product carbon footprint of today’s products. At the same time, digitalization creates new opportunities to satisfy customer demands, scale climate friendly production processes and enable approaches to collaboratively tackle a fast-changing environment.
Catena-X’s unique value proposition is based on the idea that these challenges and opportunities cannot be addressed by one single company alone, but only collaboratively by the entire automotive industry. The vision of Catena-X is to connect car manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers of the entire supply chain via jointly developed standards and technologies. Thus, creating a trustworthy, collaborative, open and secure data ecosystem for the industry of the future.
In this event, Mr. Oliver Ganser, Vice President for Purchasing & Supplier Network at BMW Group, will start with an overview of the Catena-X initiative, and it’s recent developments in China.
