The Innovation Report 2024 is a comprehensive analysis of the Chinese innovation ecosystem created by the German Chamber of Commerce in China in partnership with BearingPoint China.

This report introduces the key players of the Chinese Innovation Ecosystem , including the impact of innovative Chinese entrepreneurs, government policies, and universities fostering visionary innovators. Furthermore, it analyzes innovation subsidies and how Chinese and German companies leverage government funding to increase their research and development activities in China. The report includes insights from over 324 upper-middle management responses from German companies operating in China and five case studies from innovative companies sharing their strategies to navigate and thrive in the Chinese innovation ecosystem.

This year's edition tracks the latest trends and changes in technology adoption and shifting innovation strategies over the last two years. While German companies have been expanding their research and development activities in China, how have they adopted new technologies , how have the drivers and barriers for innovation shifted, and what advantages have they gained from innovating in China?

Join us in Shanghai on September 2, 2024, to gain a full understanding of the report's findings, changing innovation strategies, and discuss practical recommendations and strategies. Connect and exchange with fellow innovative thinkers, academics, entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and corporate executives and attend our launch event.

During the event, our expert speakers will share valuable insights into the Chinese innovation ecosystem, its challenges, and opportunities. Attendees can expect to gain a deeper understanding of the report's key takeaways and what they mean for businesses in China.
