The German Chamber is delighted to invite you to join our new event series "Government Affairs Exchange" on August 9, 2024 in the office of German Chamber of Commerce · East China. For its first edition, we invite Mr. Richard YU, Head of Governmental Relations & Public Affairs from Henkel, China, who shares insights on government affairs communication, including ways to approach, establish and maintain good communication with government agencies. Mr. Richard YU also offers tips for communicating about government affairs between China and the company's headquarters in Germany. Besides, to further enhance the efficiency of policy search in your daily work, we will provide information about the functionalities and added value of your subscription in the German Chamber Policy Platform.

Within the Government Affairs Exchange event series, the German Chamber aims to support employees of German companies in China who are tasked with Government Affairs. We provide comprehensive insights and practical knowledge on various related topics, through briefings by experts from well-known companies from all industries. Leveraging the German Chamber Policy Platform, we hope to foster a community of Government Affairs personnel for information exchange and peer networking.

Mr. Richard, Yu Jiang joined Henkel Adhesives business unit in 1999. He worked across many industrial sectors such as Automotive, Aviation, Electronic, Machinery & Equipment, Metal, Construction Materials, etc. with Henkel adhesives and chemicals applications. He had been responsible for Marketing and Business management in China and Asia Pacific Region for years, before he took the new role of head of Governmental Relations & Public Affairs Henkel China in end of 2014.
Mr. Richard Yu holds a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor degree in Automotive Engineering from South China University of Technology.
于江先生于1999年加入汉高粘合剂业务部门。从事汉高粘合剂、化学品在汽车、航空、电子、装备制造、金属、建材等众多工业领域的市场营销工作。分别在中国及亚太区担任多年的业务管理岗位。2014年底负责公司的政府关系及公共事务工作。
于江先生拥有华南理工大学机械工程硕士及汽车工程学士学位。

In June 2022, Dr. Sigrid Winkler was appointed Deputy Executive Director at the German Chamber of Commerce in China | East China and is in charge of the membership organization at the Chamber as well as the development of strategic projects for the organization. Dr. Winkler joined the German Chamber in spring 2016, initially as Project Manager Social Responsibility where she was responsible for the More than a Market initiative and was promoted in October 2016 to Executive Chamber Manager. Dr. Winkler holds a PhD in Political Science from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium and a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Studies from Vienna University. Before joining the German Chamber, she was Head of Office of the Austrian Academic Exchange Agency (OeAD) in Shanghai. Previously, Dr. Winkler managed international business development projects in China and Eastern Europe for Business Upper Austria, the economic agency of the regional government of Upper Austria. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on EU-China relations, and since 2002, she has been regularly coming back to China for shorter and longer-term stays.
