The topic of E-Commerce has seen a significant increase in relevance over the past few years particularly in China. With the Belt & Road Initiative (BRI) driving economic strategy, the Chinese government has been actively promoting the international expansion of the E-Commerce industry. This global push aims to enhance trade routes and foster economic cooperation, thereby impacting various sectors worldwide.
In this context it is essential to examine the implications for the logistics industry, in China as well as in Germany - one of Europe’s largest E-Commerce markets. The evolving landscape of E-Commerce presents unique challenges and opportunities for logistics providers, necessitating adaptations in infrastructure, technology and cross-border collaboration.
This event aims to delve into current and future developments of E-Commerce logistics. It will provide a platform for industry stakeholders to discuss innovations, share insights and build networks. By bringing experts & professionals, the event seeks to foster dialogue on how to best navigate the changing dynamics and leverage the growth of E-Commerce to enhance logistical efficiency and effectiveness. Experts from Lufthansa Cargo Group will also share their significant progress in optimizing E-Commerce logistics solutions and how they contribute this industry in China and Europe.

Mr. Ricky Ding is an Account Manager at Lufthansa Cargo, bringing two decades of experience in air freight logistics. As an expert in eCommerce, Mr. Ding has been instrumental in driving growth and managing key client relationships within this rapidly expanding sector. His deep knowledge of air freight logistics, combined with his extensive understanding of the Chinese market, enables him to provide customers with the updated industry insight and tailored solutions.
Mr. Murat Odabas brings 25 years of experience in airfreight logistics, special speed high performance logistics, terminal operations, and customs clearance to his role as Managing Director of Operations at CB Customs Broker. The company specializes in tailormade and digital customs solutions and was acquired by Lufthansa Cargo in 2018.
Before joining CB Customs Broker in 2021, Mr. Odabas held various management positions within the Lufthansa Cargo Group. His most recent role was Vice President of Operations and Customer Services at time:matters, a Lufthansa Cargo subsidiary providing high-performance logistics solutions. As Managing Director at CB Customs Broker, Mr. Odabas leads operational teams and directs key initiatives in process automation, digitization, and the development of an online customs clearance platform. He is at the forefront of the company’s digital transformation, driving the introduction of automated industry and eCommerce customs solutions.
Boris Hueske is Managing Director of heyworld GmbH a cross border eCommerce transportation solution provider. He has a degree in business administration at Philipps University Marburg with a focus on logistics and finance. Within his more than 20 years of industry experience in logistics and airfreight he took over management positions in supply chain and key account management, strategy, finance, revenue management and digitalization. Since 2023 he is the responsible MD for business development, IT, finance and HR at heyworld GmbH.
