Located in the southwestern part of China, Chongqing is the only centrally administered municipality in central-western China and the economic center of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. As one of the largest municipalities in the world, Chongqing has an area of 82.400 square kilometers and is home to 32,124,300 permanent residents, which makes it the city with the largest permanent population in China. In 2022, Chongqing’s GDP exceeded 2.9 trillion yuan, ranking fourth among all cities in China in terms of GDP.

重庆位于中国西南部，是中西部地区唯一直辖市，也是长江上游地区经济中心。作为世界上最大的内陆山水之城，重庆面积8.24万平方公里，拥有3212.43万常住人口，是中国常住人口最多的城市。2022年，重庆GDP突破2.9万亿元，位居全国城市GDP第四位。

While emerging industries such as new-generation information technology and digital economy, new energy vehicles, advanced manufacturing, new materials, biomedicine, energy conservation, and environmental protection are flourishing in Chongqing, traditional pillar industries such as electronic information, automobile and motorcycle, equipment manufacturing, materials, and consumer goods are accelerating the pace of transformation and upgrading.
