As the most influential open source fans gathering brand in China, the theme of this year's conference is "open source for good". The leaders of open source foundations and enterprises from domestic and foreign leaders share with the audience the latest development of open source movement and open source technology, as well as how the essence and Practice of open source to goodness have changed the world.

Building Communities The Apache Way
Apache recently celebrated our 20-year anniversary as a software foundation. Our mission is to provide software for the public good. All Apache software is available at 100% no charge.
The Foundation now oversees over 300 projects with over 7,900 committers from more than 100 countries, and more than half a million contributors over the years, with nearly 40,000 this year alone.
Apache has many contributors and projects from China, including some that were originally developed in China.
There are currently eight projects undergoing development in the Apache Incubator that have origins and significant participation from users and developers in China. This is a total of 20 projects from China at Apache in just 5 years!
The permissive Apache License ensures all Apache software is safe by allowing anyone to use, extend, and provide services. The only requirement is to acknowledge the source of the code.
Apache communities are safe for users and developers, with shared goals, a strict Code of Conduct, and the guidance and protection from the Foundation.
Apache has also begun to work with communities in several countries to create the Apache Local Communities program, which sponsors meetups and other activities. The first Apache Local Community in China was created in Beijing in March 2020. We invite you to explore their programs and activities and get involved with the very friendly members of the Apache community from China.
With our growth showing no signs of stopping, as with all growth, there are still challenges to overcome. The Apache community welcomes participation from all people willing to help make world-class software for the common good.
