Participants and attendants can enjoy Taiyuan, which is called Jinyang (also as “Dragon City”) in ancient times. Bordering on the Fen River and surrounded by mountains on three sides, Taiyuan, is an ancient city with a history of more than 2500 years. Lying in the most crucial place of the country where four traffic arteries intersect among mountains and rivers, Taiyuan was regarded as the fortress of five neighboring cities in ancient times. The historical city is the capital of Shanxi Province, the innovation demonstration zone of the national sustainable development agenda. Taiyuan is also one of the most important energy and heavy industry bases, an excellent tourist city and a national garden city of China. 

Day Tour line 1:Jinci & the ancient County town

The first stop of the tour is Jinci, located in the town of Jinci, Jinyuan District, Taiyuan City. Jinci Temple, also known as Jin Ancestral hall, is China's earliest existing royal worship garden.

The second stop is to visit the ancient County town of Taiyuan. There are many historical buildings remain in the ancient county town of Taiyuan, with clear cross street pattern and perfect street texture. It is the continuation of the cultural context of Jinyang Ancient City lasting 2500 years.

Day Tour line 2: Pingyao Ancient City

Pingyao Ancient City is located in Pingyao County, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, which has a history of more than 2,800 years ago and still retains the original appearance of the county town during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and is the most complete ancient city remaining in China's Han region. The main buildings inside the ancient city include: Pingyao County Office, Rishengchang Ticket House, Pingyao City Wall, etc. 

Day Tour line 3: The governor’s mansion & Shanxi musium

In the morning, we will visit the Governor's Mansion, located on Fudong Street in the Xinghualing District of Taiyuan City, which is one of the relatively complete preserved Governor's Mansions in China. In the afternoon, we will visit the Shanxi Museum, which has a collection of more than 500,000 pieces and a basic display with the theme of "Soul of Jin", consisting of 7 historical and cultural themes.
