2019 Smart Structure Competition

(1) The 2019 Smart Structure competition includes: smart materials, soft robotics, adaptive structures, 4D printing structures, SHM systems, and so on.

(2) Application for submission should include: name of project, project introduction (within 300-500 words), size of exhibit, name of contestants, company of contestants, contact information (email address and telephone number).

You should download the attached ‘2019 Smart Structure Competition Registration Form’, and send it to us via the E-mail: smn_2019@hotmail.com or smn_2019@163.com before August 20. 2019.

(3) Form of competition: The contestants are encouraged to display the entries through posters, videos or physical display (strongly recommended). The reviewers will score the projects based on the entrant's presentation in terms of innovation, functionality and effectiveness.

(4) Notes:

a.         The requirement for the size of poster is: 0.9m*1.2m, in English. The poster should be carried to the venue on the day of registration. The organizer will provide equipment such as panels, booths, and power supplies;

b.         During the competition, every project leader should display their project in specified exhibition area. If there is no one there during the review part, this team will be withdrawn from the competition;

c.         After the competition, each team is responsible for cleaning up their posters and exhibits.

(5) Reward: Based on the results of all the reviewers, the top 3 projects will earn the best innovation award in this competition, while bonuses and certificates will also be awarded.
