Dear friends and colleagues,
It is a great pleasure and an honour to extend to you a warm invitation to attend the 2020 International Conference on Defence Technology (2020 ICDT) to be held during 20-24 April, 2020, at International Youth Convention Hotels in Nanjing, China.
The 2020 ICDT follows on from the very successful 2018 ICDT. Over 600 delegates, representing over 20 countries, attended the 2018 ICDT. Countries represented included France, Italy, Poland, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, UK, USA and China. There were many extremely interesting and informative presentations covering basic research in the fields of impact physics, railguns, energetic materials, properties of materials, novel manufacturing processes and photoelectronic information systems.
The 2020 ICDT brings together many different aspects of defence science and technology, including energetic materials, explosion and impact physics, novel manufacturing techniques, autonomous technology, directed energy, kinetic energy launching science, application of composite materials, pulsed power and energy storage, and modelling and simulation.
The conference offers papers on world leading research being conducted on hypervelocity, armour and protection, prospective new energetic materials and new chemical propulsion concepts. It also covers practical problems related to aging, hazards, impact, disposal, and remediation of the energetic materials, in use today or in the near future, for space exploration or defence. There will be a special focus on manufacturing of composites, nano-materials and bio materials as well as applications of computer based manufacturing processes, machine vision and robotics. Also included will be materials for aerospace engineering, armour materials, advanced nanostructured materials, advanced ceramics and composites, and additive manufacturing. We hope the conference will provide you with the opportunity to make new contacts, discuss your excellent ideas, and infect everybody with your passion.
The Conference Organizing Committee and we look forward to welcoming you to this stimulating event and to meeting you in April 2020 in Nanjing.
